What are my options if we hit rock during the pool excavation?
There are several different options that can be implemented. If possible, dig a test hole in an attempt to determine at what elevation you will encounter bedrock; this way, it may be an option to raise the pool to avoid breaking rock. Another option is to modify the pool depth and install a form fitted liner. Based on the amount of rock, it is sometimes a better option to break the rock to attain the desired pool depth. Most often, the best decisions can be made once the pool hopper is completely excavated as you never know the true rock formation until it is fully exposed.
